Synopsis:
A bitter king who lost his wife thirty years ago, bans the Solstice celebrations and tries to close an orphanage for non-payment of taxes. Xena disguises herself as the Fates of the Past and Present in an attempt to shock the king into changing his ways. However, it is the sight of the Fate of the Future (actually the woman who runs the orphanage) which frightens the king into rethinking his actions. When the woman reveals herself to be his long lost wife, the king humbly asks her forgiveness and they are reunited.

Synopsis:
The place is 1940s Macedonia where an archaeologist, Janice Covington is searching for the lost Xena Scrolls. She teams up with Melinda Pappas and a French officer, Jacques S'er and together they enter the caves where they believe the scrolls are hidden. On finding the scrolls, a rival treasure hunter threatens the trio unless they hand over the scrolls. Unfortunately for him, he awakens the resting Ares who kills him and his assistants. Ares then tries to force Melinda (who is a descendant of Xena) to set him free from his tomb. However, Xena takes over Melinda's spirit and prevents Ares from escaping into the world. The trio escape with the scrolls and Melinda and Janice decide they make a great team and decide to work together again as partners.
