Synopsis:
Xena's childhood friend, Flora has been imprisoned in King Xerxes' dungeon, along with a group of rebels known as the 'Black Wolves'. Xena promises Hermia, Flora's mother, that she will get Flora out. Once again, Xena uses her reputation to her advantage as she pretends to be a mercenary and promises the king she will find out who the leader of the Black Wolves is. Once inside the dungeon, Xena finds out that Flora is a loyal member of the 'wolfpack' and will not leave without her friends. Lord Koulos, Xerxes' minister of security is distrustful of Xena and tries to discredit her. Meanwhile, Gabrielle is desperately trying to get herself thrown into the dungeon in order to speak to Xena. Once Gabrielle and Salmoneus have joined her in the dungeon, Xena must double her efforts to escape, find out who the spy is on the inside and gain the trust of the rest of the wolfpack. Xena has a plan to escape but if it doesn't work, she will be executed, along with her friends.

Synopsis:
Xena receives a message from Helen of Troy and goes to her aid. The problem is that she and Gabrielle must fight their way through a siege into the city. Once there, Gabrielle meets up with her childhood friend and betrothed, Perdicas. Whilst Gabrielle struggles with her new feelings, Xena must find out who has betrayed Troy. However, even Xena cannot prevent Troy's fate at the hands of the Greeks.
