07/11/05:
FIRST THE BAD NEWS...
After months of pondering what to do on this matter, I have finally decided to semi-retire this Xena site. What this means, in effect, is that I will not be adding any new sections as previously intended. Additionally, I have slimmed the site down a bit by removing the following sections: About Me, Downloads, Merchandise, Webrings and Xenapolls. I also intend to slim the galleries down so I can reinstate the ones I think you'd most like to stay.
NOW THE GOOD NEWS...
I intend to continue updating the Xena Cast section, Ep guides, A-Z guide and any other sections which are partially finished.
AND FINALLY....
I would like to say a big heartfelt thank you to all those of you who have been a part of this fan site, whether as a contributor, a visitor or in whatever other capacity. Without you, this site would have vanished years ago. Thanks so much to all of you for your comments, support and loyalty. I hope you'll continue to visit as long as this site remains online. Love, light and peace to you all. BB.
SPECIAL THANKS go to: Alex, Amber, Andreya, Chakram & Lyceus, CNS, Colin Francis, Don MacLeod, Electra (Scarlet Skies), Gina, Graham, Ian Michael Drinkwater, John W. Davies, Kathy A, Kitana (Xenafight), Mac, Mark Viniello, Mark W, MaryCat25, Miltiades' Joxerverse, Paul Hilling, Shimmer, Skip, Talice, Taz, Timaro7, Tom's Xena Page, Trisha, The Xena Shrine, Whiteshadow, Xena Artist Showcase, Xenagabby, Xenaville UK, Xena's World, Zoe and to all the cast and crew of Xena for all the fun, tears and laughter you brought to us over the years. (Apologies if I've forgotten anyone here!).
18/05/05:
Updated "Ulysses" (season 2, episode 19) episode guide. This guide was kindly written by my mate, Andreya so thanks for that chum!
09/03/2005:
I have recently received another award from Chakram & Lyceus for "Best Characters' Section" in their 2004 Sais Awards! Thanks once again for presenting my site with this award for the second year running!
08/12/2004:
Updated links on A-Z Guides I and J.
27/09/2004:
Added new cast pics for the Season 6 "Legacy" and "Who's Gurkhan?" episodes. These can be found in my A-Z Xena Cast section but can best be accessed by following the links from my Episode Guide section.
For those of you wondering why most of my Gallery section is missing, Madasafish have, once again, deleted all my webfiles from their server. This also affects my Downloads section (where the Baldur's Gate Xena images and sound files normally reside). Hopefully, I should be able to rectify this soon and I'll keep you posted.
A further missing section is my Videos/DVD section, which previously had links to the Blackstar site. As they are no longer trading as Blackstar, these links are defunct and I am still deciding whether or not to renew my affiliation with them.
20/08/2004:
First of all, I just want to clear up a misunderstanding in my Dreambook. I am NOT discontinuing this site, as has been suggested in there. Yes, I have retired my email address for the reasons stated below, but I am not closing this site down, at least not for the moment. However, as you will have noticed, I haven't been updating as often as before. There are many reasons for this: time, health issues, PC problems (which unfortunately a sledgehammer won't solve!) amongst other things. The website has grown tremendously since I first set up and, apart from contributions from friends and fans, I am working alone. This can sometimes be a problem which I'm sure you can all appreciate. It's a lot of hard work. Nevertheless, I'm not intending to quit just yet.
Further news regarding my former email address (the 'query' address):
I now believe that someone who has or had my address in their OE Address Book picked up a virus on their machine which randomly chose my address to email the virus to other people on the web. I have reason to believe this is still happening, so please, if you receive an email from 'query@ukxenite.co.uk' containing an attachment, don't open it and delete it immediately! I am no longer using this address so you can be 100% certain it has not come from me. If you still have this addie in your OE Address Book, please remove it. Thanks.
Finally, I apologise to those of you who have contacted me via my Dreambook but have not had a reply as yet. I haven't forgotten you and I will get back to you asap, via my Dreambook.
17/06/2004:
After some deliberation, I have decided to retire my current email address from immediate effect. There are several reasons for this, some I'm sure you can guess. The amount of spam I'm receiving on a daily basis is bordering on the ridiculous and yes, I'm fed up with it. Furthermore, I have reason to believe that someone out there is using my address maliciously.
As a consequence of the above, some of your emails may have not reached me or have been deleted in error. I apologise if this is the case. I do try to answer your questions, where possible, and I enjoy communicating with other Xena fans. For the moment then, please contact me via my Dreambook. I may, in the future, create a forum for questions etc and, I have in fact, been thinking about doing this for some time.
Anyway, here's some better news:
"INTERVIEW WITH "THE DESTROYER"!
I recently conducted an email interview with Mark Viniello, who played The Destroyer (Hope's child) in A Family Affair. The interview will be available on the site soon so watch this space!
05/04/2004:
I have now uploaded Part II of my XWPVS script to the Scripts part of my Fanfic section. Hope you enjoy it!
01/04/2004:
The Fan Fiction section is now partially active. I have uploaded Part I of the two scripts I wrote for the XWPVS to the Scripts part of this section and am currently working on recoding the html for Part II which should also be available soon.
25/01/2004:
I've received a new award! Chakram and Lyceus at the "Los pergaminos de Xena y Gabrielle" site have given me an award for "Best Characters Section" in their 2003 "Sais Awards". Thank you so much, Chakram and Lyceus! As is customary, I have linked back to the above site in my Awards section, where my new award is now proudly being displayed.

UPCOMING UK CONVENTION - RENEE O'CONNOR TO STAR!
Renee O'Connor is set to headline the Strong Women of Sci-Fi convention at the Hilton Metropole in London this coming August. Other guests include Danielle Cormack (Ephiny/Samsara), Claire Stansfield (Alti) and Tim Omundson (Eli). For more information about the entertainment on offer and details of the available weekend packages, please visit the Creation Entertainment website.
14/04/2003:
The second half of my two-part XWPVS episode airs tonight at 8.00pm EST (not till Tuesday at about 1.00pm for UK fans) at http://www.xwpvs.com. Once again, it goes out under my pen name of Lilith. As always, I welcome your comments and feedback (even criticism, as long as its constructive) so please feel free to drop me a line to let me know whether or not you enjoyed it (them).
07/04/2003:
As you may know, the XWPVS (Xena Warrior Princess Virtual Season) took an extended hiatus after airing the first half of Season 8. Tonight sees the start of the second half of Season 8 with a brand new episode, the first of a two-parter penned by myself (hence the shameless plug!) and going out under my pen name of Lilith. As always, I welcome your comments and feedback (even criticism, as long as its constructive) so please feel free to drop me a line to let me know whether or not you enjoyed it (them).
02/03/2003:
NEWS ON UK CONVENTIONS! RENEE COMES TO THE UK!
Renee O'Connor is set to headline the Strong Women of Sci-Fi convention at the Hilton Metropole in London this coming August. Other guests so far are Danielle Cormack (Ephiny/Samsara) and Claire Stansfield (Alti). Click here for more information.
UK Xenite Kimberley has informed me that a new book, Xena Warrior Princess: Complete illustrated Companion by K. Stoddard Hayes, will be available on 26th March in the UK. Thanks Kimberley for that information - I, for one, appreciate it as I'm sure our fellow Xenites do!
12/02/2003:
I've now posted the link to the Virtual Season 7 premiere episode, "Honor Bound Part 1" which is set directly after the events of the final Xena episode "Friend in Need". Make sure you catch these reruns!!
A XENA MOVIE?
According to TV Zone #160, Lucy Lawless stated in a radio interview that Universal Studios would be prepared to fork out a massive $60 million for a Xena movie! So, could this be a dream come true at last for us Xenites? Well, apparently TPTB have asked Creation Entertainment's site visitors for their input on a Xena movie. Click here to visit the poll and cast your vote! (Click on the Xena logo and the poll will pop-up of its own accord!).
03/02/2003:
Regarding the XWP Virtual Season: this season's run has unfortunately been plagued with difficulties due to server problems and unscrupulous hackers. In order to avoid further problems, the VSPTB have decided to create a mirror site so that if any problems occur, the latest episodes can be posted there instead. The address of the main site is http://www.xwpvs.com and the mirror site is located at http://www.cfxs.com/XWPVS. In the meantime, a new episode ("A Winter's Tale") will air tonight. Following this, there will be a short hiatus before more new eps are posted. Instead, there will be reruns of some Season 7 episodes, starting with eps 1 and 2 so those of you who missed VS7 will have chance to catch up with the first eps following Season 6's "A Friend In Need". Do try to catch these because they are brilliantly written and illustrated and are a worthy follow-up to the actual series. Don't just take my word for it, either!
30/05/2002:
Not much to report really except a reminder that the Season 6 Boxset Part 2 is due for release on the 3rd June on both VHS and DVD format. Rumours abound that these will include the Directors' Cut of "A Friend In Need I" and "II" but I haven't heard confirmation of this as yet. I will keep you posted if I hear anything.
Blackstar are reporting the release date for the Season 3 Part 2 DVD Boxset as 15th July not 1st July so it looks like the release date has been put back two weeks.
16/04/2002:
According to the current issue of TV Zone (#150) the release dates for upcoming Xena videos and DVDs are as follows:
6th May - Xena S3 Boxset Part I (DVD)
3rd June - Xena S6 Boxset II (DVD/VHS)
1st July - Xena S3 Boxset Part II (DVD)
5th August - Xena S4 Boxset I (DVD)
22/02/2002:
A memorial service for Kevin Smith is being held in Auckland on Thursday and is being organised by fellow actors Michael Hurst, Simon Prast and Lucy Lawless. Follow this link for more details.
I apologise for the lack of information on this site about what happened to Kevin. My concern is that his death is not sensationalised. Every mention of it in the media must be a terribly painful reminder to his family and friends of their sad loss. There are more details of the circumstances surrounding Kevin's death at this link for those of you who are concerned about what happened but I am keeping details to a minimum here out of respect for his loved ones.
20/02/2002:
I have now added a tribute page dedicated to Kevin Smith. If any of you would like to add a message to this page, then please email me with the message and a user name (anonymous, if you like) and I shall post it. Please note: I won't post your email address or any other details about you.
16/02/2002:
Actor Kevin Smith (who played Ares in Xena) died last night in a hospital in China after a serious fall on 6th February. To read the full story, please follow this link.
My thanks go to Stephen from New Zealand who recently passed this sad news on to me. I am sure I speak for you all when I say that Kevin will be sadly missed and that our hearts go out to his family for their tragic loss.
I have only just heard the sad news myself so apologies for the blunt approach. I am still in shock as I am sure you are.
09/02/2002:
The release date for Part 2 of the Xena Season 5 Boxset has been put back yet again and is now due for release on 25th February, not the 11th. Plans are also afoot for the release of the Season 6 Boxset (Part 1) which is due for release on 1st April.
20/01/2002:
The Xena S5 Boxset Part 2, which was originally marked for release in December, is now due for release on 11th February. Along with this, the Xena DVD Boxset of Season 2 Vol I is also to be released on the same day. Both these items are available to pre-order from Blackstar and there is a link to both these items in my Merchandise/Videos section.
Other News: I have now reuploaded the Joxer and Xena sounds in my Downloads section.
05/01/2002:
I'm cheating a bit here because I don't have any real news to report except to wish you all a Happy New Year and to let you know that, at least for the moment, I intend to continue running this site. I still have episode guides to write, updates to include in the A-Z Guide and Xena Cast sections and more galleries to add so I feel I still have some contribution to make to the Xenaverse, despite the fact the series has finished.
Some of you, I know, are curious to know my opinion on the series' finale. As I know there are many out there who haven't yet seen the series' ending (or even beyond Season 4) I have put a link here so that those of you who have managed to avoid spoilers can continue to do so. For those of you interested in my views, click here.
08/12/2001:
Tomorrow on Sky 1 at 1pm is the last Xena episode EVER - Part II of Friend In Need. Don't miss it!!!
23/11/2001:
Most of my main Gallery section has now been uploaded to Madasafish. The only sections that aren't sorted yet are Gods/Goddesses (which I was in the process of revamping anyway) and Wallpapers. My Xena Gallery 2 and Themed Wallpaper sections have not yet been re-uploaded. Please note that the URL to reach the main Galleries is now at http://members.madasafish.com/~whitewitch/xwpgallery.htm so please bookmark this for future reference.
I haven't had the chance to check all the Gallery links yet so if you do spot any missing links (apart from the missing sections mentioned above) please let me know.
17/11/2001:
The latest on my problems with Madasafish is that, despite contacting them several times by e-mail and phone, they have done absolutely nothing to rectify my problems and I am having to sort it out myself. Somehow all my files have been deleted and I am currently in the process of reuploading - a major task in itself, particularly when the server keeps timing out. I am doing my best to sort this out so please be patient. This is costing money and I am just as unhappy about it as you are. I have re-uploaded most of my Downloads section files (apart from the Joxer and Xena sound files) and I have checked the links so most of that is sorted. The galleries will take longer I'm afraid. I am looking at other alternatives so it's possible my galleries will move elsewhere sometime in the near future.
UK Xenite Zoe has passed on the following news to me that Channel 4's Top Ten TV programme is on Sex Bombs tonight and is to feature Lucy Lawless. This is scheduled for 10.15pm so get those VCR's ready! Thanks Zoe for the information.
Final news for today is a reminder that tomorrow's Xena episode at 1pm on Sky One is "Many Happy Returns".
04/11/2001:
Just so that you are aware, I am having difficulties yet again with my Madasafish account and at the moment, both my Galleries and Downloads sections are unavailable. I apologise for this but there is nothing at present that I can do until I receive a reply from my ISP as to what is going on. I will keep you posted on any developments once I find out what the situation is.
03/11/2001:
Xena Season 1 Boxset Part 2 on DVD is apparently now due out for release on 5th November. You can preorder this from Blackstar by visiting my Videos section if you wish. Please remember though that the running order of the episodes is incorrect for Part 2 as it is for Part 1.
Due for release on the 3rd December is the Season 5 Boxset Part 1 on video. This is also available to preorder at Blackstar from my Videos section. According to TV Zone (Issue 143) Part 2 of the Season 5 Boxset is also due for release on the same date, although this is not available to preorder from Blackstar yet. As soon as I hear anything I will post it here so keep your eyes and ears open!
Finally, just a reminder that tomorrow's Xena episode is "The Last of the Centaurs", scheduled for 1.00pm on Sky One.
28/10/2001:
Just a reminder that the new time for Xena is now 1.00pm on Sky One rather than 5.00pm. The scheduled episode today is "Send In The Clones". UK fans, remember to adjust your clocks back one hour if you haven't already done so.
30/09/2001:
No Xena this week. The scheduled episode "You Are There" will now be shown next Sunday instead.
Just a reminder that the Season 4 Boxset Part II is due out on Monday. It looks like this set WILL include the banned episode "The Way". Good news, eh? Meanwhile, Part II of the Season 1 DVD Boxset may or may not be released on Monday. According to Blackstar, the release date is now the 5th November. Could this be something to do with the fact that Part I of the DVD Boxset has a completely messed up running order and includes episode 1 then jumps to episodes 10-19 and then back to episode 2! For those of you unhappy about this, I suggest contacting Universal Playback and complaining about this. Their email address is: communicate@unistudios.com
11/08/2001:
WOT NO XENA? Well, we are six episodes into Season 6 on Sky One but this week Sky in their wisdom (!) have deemed it necessary to remove Xena in favour of "Police Stop!" Enough said. Xena is set to return the following Sunday.
11/08/2001:
Xena returns to Channel 5 next week, starting Monday, 13th August and continues at least until Friday. No, it's not Series 4 so don't get your hopes up but it is a chance to catch Season 3 repeats, starting with "The Furies". Oh, and expect cuts as it is being screened at 10.00am. Thanks go to Jenny for supplying this information to me. Cheers, mate!
Lucy Lawless is set to appear in the 9th season of the X-Files. No information is available as yet, as to what role she will be playing but it has been confirmed that she will appear in at least two episodes. To read the article and Frank Spotnitz's comments, visit the Official X-Files Site. Many thanks to Taz for sending me this news.
02/08/2001
The following Channel 4 teletext information was forwarded to me by fellow UK Xenite, Zoe. Once again, Zoe thanks for this information.
"XENA LANDS SPIDER-MAN FILM ROLE
Xena: Warrior Princess star Lucy Lawless has landed a cameo role as a punk in the new Spider-Man movie.
Lucy, 32, who's just bowed out after five years as the sword-and-sorcery heroine, said "I had studs in my nose, a short spiky wig and lots of earrings.
"It's a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo, but it was such fun to wear punk pants, a ripped stocking skirt and big black boots".
Xena: Warrior Princess star Lucy Lawless says she took home the punk outfit she wore for a cameo role in the Spider-Man movie.
She said "I wore it home as I wanted my husband Rob Tapert to see my new look!"
