ENTER THE BARD SCHOOL
Greetings, potential students and welcome to The Bard School!

WHAT IS THE BARD SCHOOL?
Basically it's a section of my site where you are encouraged to send in any creative work you have done which relates to Xena in some way.

HOW DO I REGISTER?
To register as a student, the following criteria must be met:

1. Send me a quick email to register your interest and let me know under what name you wish to register. This will be the name used to credit your work. Please don't send any work until you've done this first. This may seem a nuisance but this is for security reasons. Any attachments received from unknown sources get deleted automatically.

2. Once you've received a reply, send in a piece of your own work to bardschool@ukxenite.co.uk.

3. Your work can be a story, poem, song, drawing, painting, riddle or rhyme but it must be Xena-related. For written work, please send as Microsoft Word documents only. Paintings and drawings should be sent in jpg or jpeg format.

4. Please check your spelling, grammar, paragraphing and punctuation before sending any written work in. Sloppy work will not be accepted.

5. Where applicable, give your work the appropriate rating (use the film censorship categories as a guide if you wish) so that kiddies don't end up reading inappropriate stuff.

6. Finally, I reserve the right to refuse any work which is deemed to be offensive and, therefore, unsuitable for this site. Generally, this means anything which discriminates against anyone on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation etc.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
If accepted as a student, you will be sent your student registration number (see below) at The Bard School. Your work will then be posted in this section under the appropriate school. The choice is as follows: School of Art (drawings, sketches, paintings), School of Poetry & Verse (poems, riddles, rhymes, verse), School of Bardic Composition (stories) or School of Music (songs, lyrics).


CAN I PUT THIS GRAPHIC ON MY WEBSITE?
Once you have registered, you are welcome to display your registration graphic on your website (if you have one) but I do ask that you link back to this page.

WHEN DO I SEND IN MY WORK?
There are no deadlines, just send in your contributions when you are ready.

WHAT ABOUT COMPETITIONS?
From time to time, I shall run competitions for the best piece of work. Once I have received a sufficient number of works, there will be a Bard of the Month competition which any registered student can enter. The winner will have their work displayed prominently in this section for that month and will receive a Bard of the Month award.

DO I HAVE TO PAY?
The Bard School is purely for fun and is not an actual school! There are no fees and your registration as a student is not a legal document. I have no connections to publishers.
